In 2005, my middle daughter was one of five students
chosen from her school to read an essay on "Why I am thankful for veterans" for a Veterans Day celebration.
Her touching words and bravery led to a dinnertime discussion about goodness in the world, and to an understanding of the
great lengths and sacrifices that our military heroes grant us in the name of freedom. When asked how we
could show our appreciation, my 3 daughters were full of ideas. "Lets
love them back, daddy. Lets help take care of their families the way they take care of ours." Their
honest and heartfelt gratitude and eagerness to give their all to say "thanks" prompted the beginning of the
American Sacrifice Foundation.

American
Sacrifice Foundation, Inc. was founded by Chris George, a 17 year Army brat, who knows of the sacrifices of American
military families. His goal is to increase the awareness of need and encourage the general public to help relieve some
of the financial worries of homeless veterans and their families during their times of need.
